May have its origin from India, JACKFRUIT (or Langka in the Philippines) is a juicy, fiber-rich fruit. The fruit can be eaten either ripe or raw (you have to cook raw jackfruit, though, before you van eat it) making it the jack of all fruit. Raw Jackfruit is often cooked with Coconut Milk and served with chili.
Health Benefits from JACKFRUIT
- Highly-packed with Potassium, Jackfruit helps with the lowering of Blood Pressure
- Contains very little Calories, the fruit is good for Weight Loss practitioners
- It is said that Jackfruit is also good for indigestion, although, speaking from my experiences, eating loads of this fruit might upset your stomach.
