LIME : Vital Nutrients and Health Benefits

LIME, Scientific Name :  Citrus Latifolia
Have originated from Southeast Asia(with some saying it came from Tahiti), LIME (or Dayap, in Tagalog) is a close cousin of Lemon. Lime (or Lemon) is also the best friend of Tequila and Margarita (femme fatales both). The fruit was once used by sailors to fight Scurvy (they initially used Lemon but ran out of it).

  • Lime helps reduce risk of certain Cancers (like Skin, Breast, Colon) because of its atioxidants
  • Lime oil has been proven as an effective Mosquito-repellant
